Anna Munster has been at COFA since February 2001 on a fulltime tenured basis. Prior to that she taught as a sessional staff member at COFA and other Sydney universities.
She is an active researcher with a sole published book (Materializing New Media, 2006), has held 2 ARC research grants in new media and art, is an editor of the online peer-reviewed journal The Fibreculture Journal, is an active artist with multichannel and interactive installation work exhibited internationally and nationally.She regularly collaborates with Michele Barker in the School of Media Arts, COFA.
Barker and Munster are working on a largescale multi-channel interactive work hich explores the relations between perception, magic and the brain. Munster is currently writing a new book on networks and aesthetics. She is also creating a database and researching dynamic media with Andre Murphie from English, Media and Performing Arts, UNSW
