Gordon Monro is a digital media artist with a particular interest in algorithmic and generative art. Much of Gordon's work is inspired by ideas from mathematics and science. Gordon originally studied science; he has a PhD in mathematics from Bristol University, U.K. Recently he completed a MMus at the Sydney Conservatorium, working in generative music and multi-media,and is currently undertaking a PhD at Monash University in the Faculty of Art and Design, working in generative art.
Gordon's works have been performed or shown in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and North America, and broadcast nationally in Australia. His abstract video "Triangular Vibrations" was included in the DVD distributed by ANAT with "Filter", Summer 2007.
